Ganderbal: The 434-km long Srinagar-Leh highway connecting the Ladakh region with Kashmir Valley was suspended vehicular traffic on Friday due to snowfall at Zojilla pass and adjacent areas of Sonamarg.
An official said that the road had become slippery because of below freezing temperature and continues snowfall.
However he said that due to improvement in the weather the snow had melted and road become operational.

The officals said that they are allowing only light motor vehicles to move from Sonamarg towards Kargil after stranded vehicles will be evacuated from the Zojila pass this afternoon.
