Kupwara, Nov 17: District Election Officer in collaboration with Education Department Kupwara organised a District level Quiz Cum Essay Writing competition in Kupwara at Town Hall Kupwara, the competition was organized under the supervision of District coordinator Cultural and educational wing Kupwara Nazir Ahmad Qureshi.

The competition was attended by 100 students in which 30 were female and 70 were male students, all the students of various higher institution toppers were part of the competition.

The competition was to aware the young blooming buds regarding the importance of enrolling oneself for vote, all those who have attained the age of 18. In the competition the age was 14-17, so that awareness will groom up among young youth.

The participants who took part in the competition among them top three were awarded by District Election Officer (DDC) Kupwara, among top three of District Level Competition only first and second position holder will be eligible for state level Quiz Competition.

On this occasion DEO Kupwara Khalid Jahangir and other dignitaries and experts expressed their views regarding the importance of enrolling themselves in voter list and to get a voter ID.

The competition was organised in collaboration with Election Commission of India.
