Bhaderwah, Nov 15: Most areas in the higher reaches of Chenab Valley received fresh snowfall, while the plains were lashed by rains, with the night temperature settling above freezing point at most places.Over the past two days, the weather in various parts of Chenab Valley specially in Bhaderwah is experiencing change and cold at dawn and dusk has increased.Last month , the higher reaches of some higher places in Bhaderwah including Kailash Kund , Chattergalla and Sonbhai experienced light snowfall, the first of this season, resulting in dip in both maximum and minimum temperature.

It is worthwhile to mention here that due to the fresh snowfall in upper reaches and continued rainfall in plains, winter chill returned to Chenab Valley , forcing people to remain inside their houses and despite high velocity winds, upper reaches of Chenab Valley witnesses fresh snowfall especially Bhaderwah which is also known as Chotta Kashmir.
