Forces ransack militants houses, Army denies allegation

Shopian: Government forces last night raided the houses of about 6 active militants in south Kashmir’s Shopian district and allegedly ransacked the properties and arrested their close relatives, sources said.

Forces raided the residence of Adil Ahmad Malik and Umar Nazir Malik, two active militants of Malik Gund shopian, Naveed Ahmad of Nazneenpora, zubair Ahmad Wani of Turkwangam, ubaid Ahmad of Babekhider and yawar Ahmad Itoo of Safanagar Zainapora, ransacked their houses and arrested every male members who were present their at the time of raid, reports said.

They alleged that at all places forces smashed windowpanes of the militant’s houses and damaged the properties and other materials.

Srinagar based Army spokesman denied allegations and said ‘we are not involved in ransacking of the houses of millitants.’
