A youth succumbed to injuries, he sustained in a road accident in Sopore area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Tuesday.

Identified as Tariq Ahmed Malik, son of Abdul Ahad Malik, resident of Nowpora Jageer was hit by speeding scooter in Ningli locality of the apple town.

He succumbed at SK Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS) Soura where he succumbed early Wednesday.

Meanwhile, three persons were injured in a road accident on Srinagar-Leh highway near power house at Kangan Ganderbal, yesterday.

A Taveera bearing registration number JK01N-7321, skidded off the road and turned turtle resulting in injuries to three passengers.

They were rushed to trauma hospital Kangan,  critically injured Mohd Shafi Naik, S/O Ab. Rehman Naik R/O Gagangeer Sonamarg Age 37 and Fayaz Ahmad Lone S/O Ab Rahim Lone R/O Lolab Kupwara Age 28 were refered to SKIMS Soura.

Kangan Police has registered a case in this regard.
