SC to hear plea filed by Rohingya immigrants over deportation order

The Supreme Court, on Friday, decided to hear the plea challenging decision to deport illegal Rohingya Muslim immigrants back to Myanmar.

The hearing is slated to happen on Monday.

The apex court agreed to listen the plea after considering the submission by lawyer Prashant Bhushan that the plea required urgent hearing.

The plea was filed by two Rohingya immigrants that they were facing persecution in Myanmar and that the decision to send them back was in violation of various international conventions.
