Srinagar: Dr Aashiq Hussain Faktoo alias Dr Qasim on Thursday targeted those who ‘overtly or covertly’ helped PDP come into power, saying differentiating between the party and National Conference can prove disastrous.
In a statement, a spokesman of Muslim Deeni Mahaz headed by Dr Qasim also accused ruling PDP of having planned to kill Asiya Andrabi, chairperson of Dukhataran-e-Millat who was shifted to Jammu jail on Thursday, a day after J&K high court ordered her release along with personal secretary Sofi Fahmeeda from preventive detention after quashing their detention under PSA.
“Even after quashing of PSA on Asiya Andrabi and Sofi Fehmeeda by the high court and the directions of the judge to provide both these ladies medical care Police has pressurized doctors to relieve them from hospital,” the spokesperson said, adding, “Since PDP and police have devised a plan to kill Asiya Andrabi in Jammu Jail, we want to tell those people who overtly or covertly supported PDP to come into power that differentiating between PDP and National conference can prove disastrous.” Since 1947, he said, prevalent PDP rule can be likened only to Kuka Parray period.
