Srinagar: Unidentified gunmen, suspected to be militants, shot dead a worker of ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) at Dailgam in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district.
Reports the gunmen opened fire upon the Mohammad Isaaq Parray at Uggen in Dailgam on afternoon.
Parray suffered serious injuries and was shifted to nearby hospital where doctors declared him brought dead on arrival.
Soon after the incident, a posse of government forces comprising Army, police’s special operation group and paramilitary CRPF cordoned the area and launched a man hunt to nab the assailants. However when this report was filed, no arrests were made
