Srinagar:

Day after Divisional Commissioner Kashmir declared various areas of Srinagar as ‘No Horn Zones’, Senior Superintendent of Police Traffic city says they will first launch an awareness campaign.

“There is no magic wand to teach them overnight. We will start awareness campaign, will advertise it first and then things will change,” SSP traffic city Sargun Shukla told INS.

Shukla said that ‘people have been used to blow horn and the order cannot be implemented overnight’.

Div Com Bashir Ahmad Khan had declared various areas in Srinagar city as “no-horn zones with immediate effect’ on Thursday.

As ‘No-horn zones’ Div Com has directed traffic police to strictly deal with the persons who will blow the horn and take action under the relevant provision of law and submit the reports in the office quarterly.
