Srinagar: Amid shut down, slain Lashkar-e-Toiba commander Ayoub Lelhari was laid to rest in Lelhara village of Pulwama district of south Kashmir.

According to eye witnesses thousands of people attended  his funeral prayers.“Two rounds of funeral prayers were offered,” eye witnesses told INS.

Ayoub, according to sources an A++ militant, was killed in an operation by forces on August 16.

Director General of Police SP Vaid had congratulated forces on his killing. “..excellent work boys,” DGP had tweeted after the shootout.
