Srinagar: Chairman Muslim Conference Ghulam Nabi Sumjhi has refuted the allegations of an English News Channels which had ‘reported’ that the Hurriyat leader has amassed property disproportionate to his income.
Talking to KNS, Sumjhi said that the allegations are baseless and the said news channel’s editor should apologise to him, else he will file a defamation case against him in the court.
“I don’t have the property which the news channel has reported. I had ancestral land from which I have sold 20 kanals. I don’t have any school in Awantipora or any hotel in Pahalgam. Whatever property I own that is my ancestral,” he said.
“The Indian news channels are running anti-Kashmir programmes and vitiating atmosphere in India against the Kashmiri people,” he said. (KNS)
