Srinagar: Hurriyat Conference (G) strongly condemning the autocratic and egoistic behavior of state authorities, said that Syed Ali Geelani was again barred from offering Friday prayers.
In a statement issued to KNS, lashing at administration for continuous house detention of Syed Ali Geelani, Hurriyat (G) said, that barring him from offering obligatory prayers, illustrates the frustration of state authorities.
State administration is employing their evil designs, thus verifying our claim that PDP led authorities are hell-bent to turn state into Hindu Rashtra, added spokesman.
It is their sheer vengeance and through these cowardice measures and their hidden agenda, they neither can cow down his sentiments, nor can sabotage the rightful movement for right to self-determination, added spokesman.
Spokesman said that all movements of 88-year-old Syed Ali Geelani are restricted and he is confined to his residence.
Spokesman while condemning the continuous house detention of Tehreek-e- Huriyat General secretary, Mohammad Ashraf Sehrai and Mohammad Yasin Malik, said that administration is harassing & subjecting them to vengeance and added that virtually state is reeling under martial law.
Their tall claims and rhetoric for democracy and battle of ideas stand exposed, added spokesman.
Commenting over continuous lockup of Jamia Masjid and restricting people from offering prayers, spokesman said that administration by laying curbs on Friday prayers & harassing pro-freedom leadership through its agencies, have crossed all limits.
Commenting over the continuous house arrest of Syed Ali Geelani, spokesman added that PDP led administration as an obedient and tamed slave of their masters in Delhi are trampling all fundamental rights.
In an appeal to religious clerics and people, spokesman said there is no legal, moral or constitutional justification for laying curbs on religious obligations and urged to resent and resist all these arbitrary measures and restrictions on Friday prayers and added that If these measures are not resisted well in time, it may prove detrimental in future.
Demanding immediate release of all prisoners, spokesperson said that continuous restrictions and curbs on peaceful activities will aggravate already charged situation and will upsurge already uncertain situations in state. (KNS)
