Srinagar: The Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) chairman Shabir Ahmad Shah was told by the counsel for the Enforcement Directorate to chant Bharat Mata Ki Jai during hearing on Wednesday in Delhi court which the pro-freedom leader vehemently refused.
A party spokesperson in a statement issued to KNS said during the hearing on Shah’s case, the agency’s counsel told Shah to chant Bharat Mata Ki Jai. He, however, was reprimanded by the judge who told him not to do so in a court.
Meanwhile, the ED asked judge to grant it 6 days and the court granted.
The spokesperson alleged that politics is being played in the court and that everything was fixed with the judge.
“If the remand was 3 to 4 days, then it would have been balanced decision but judge completed full 14 days. ED asked for 6 days and court granted it,” he said.
Shah also submitted an application in a court alleging inhuman behavior and threat to his life by ED.
He filed an application alleging inhuman behaviour, threat to his life by ED. He also said he was forced to sign statements and blank documents.
The spokesperson said during argument, judge went to his room and didn’t come back but sent a person who said 6 days remand has been extended.
The spokesperson said Shabir Ahmad Shah cannot be cowed down by such suppressive and unethical acts. He has spent half of his life in jails and such oppressive measures to break his resolve are bound to fail. (KNS)
