2nd batch of Hajj pilgrims leave for Saudi Arabia

SRINAGAR: The 2nd batch of Hajj-2017 pilgrims including women and elderly people, from the State today left from the Srinagar International Airport for Saudi Arabia to perform the holy pilgrimage.
Minister for Agriculture Ghulam Nabi Lone Hanjura besides a number of senior officials from Civil and Police Departments gave the pilgrims a warm send off at the airport.
Hanjura warmly greeted the pilgrims and appealed to them to pray for peace and prosperity in Jammu and Kashmir.
The Hajis thanked the State Government for making elaborate arrangements at the Hajj House and Srinagar International Airport.
On the occasion, Officers of State Government, Airport Authority, State Hajj Committee, Srinagar were also present.
According to State Hajj Committee, two special Air India flights with 840 pilgrims will operate daily from the Srinagar International Airport to Saudi Arabia till August 3.
