Police arrests drug peddler in Kupwara

Srinagar: A naka was established at Marazigund Drusoo crossing by a Police party of Police station Dangiwacha, Rafiabad headed by SHO.
During naka the police team intercepted one motorcycle in a suspicious condition. They were trying to escape on seeing the Police Party from the spot.
But due to timely action by the Police Party, the duo were arrested on spot and were later identified as Jehangir Ahmad Tantray son of Fayaz Ahmad Tantray resident of Behrampora Rafiabad and Jamsheed Ahmad Malik son of Gh. Mohd Malik resident of Achabal Sopore.
Police said that Narcotic drugs in the form of Spasmoproxypvon Plus (17) strips total 408 Capsules, Coughrex (100ml) 10 bottles recovered from their possession.
In this regard a Case FIR No. 24/2017, U/S, 8/22 NDPS Act has been registered in Police Station Dangiwacha and investigation has been taken up. (KNS)
