On the occasion state flag was hoisted and the state anthem was sung with enthusiasm. Speaking on the occasion party Supremo and MLA Langate Er. Rasheed retreated that restoration of Autonomy is not the solution and Kashmiris will accept nothing less than plebiscite. Er. Rasheed said “However till final resolution Kashmiris have to ensure that India doesn’t weaken further all those provisions or the status which state is enjoying, as whether it is state flag or Article 370 they are all ample proof to prove that J&K is not India’s Integral part”.

Speaking on the occasion Er. Rasheed condemned central Govt. for indulging in character assassination campaign against Huriyat leaders. He said “if Huriyat leaders are terrorists then why did Manmohan Singh talked to Yaseen Malik and Lal Krishan Adwani to Mir Waiz Umer Farooq.

However by calling resistance leadership names and using abusive language against Kashmiris Geelani’s stand over talks stands vindicated, as he has been the strong voice asking Kashmiris not to believe India and has been constantly rejecting talks apprehending New Delhi’s non seriousness and rough attitude”. Er. Rasheed lashed out at Mehbooba Mufti for allowing the raids by NIA and said that Mehbooba Mufti has surrendered her self-respect to New Delhi.

He added that while blaming Zakir Moosa for promoting ISIS ideology, New Delhi and others should not forget that ISIS or Alqaida are the outcome of huge atrocities on Muslims on the globe and denying them their fundamental rights”. He said “It was Russia invasion in Afghanistan that created the whole trouble and laid a strong logical foundation for all underground militant outfits including Alqaida.

Similarly had Col. Gadhafi not been butchered, Sadam not been hanged, a democratically elected Govt. in Egypt not been toppled, Syria not be bombarded, Palestinians not been supressed, world scenario would have been altogether different. New Delhi is just playing Zakir Moosa card to divert attention from the real issue and if it is really worried with Zakir Moosa’s agenda why doesn’t New Delhi talk to people like Geelani to resolve Kashmir dispute”. Er. Rasheed also criticized Indian media for defaming Islam and added that those crying caliphate should understand that the perception of caliphate is not against any religion, region or community. He said “People have a right to oppose the idea of caliphate but must understand that caliphate is a system of governing and the rights of all citizens are protected within the concept of caliphate”.

Er. Rasheed demanded that state Govt. should ensure that state flag flies high at High Court and other places and also demanded that 7th of June should be declared a state holiday.(GNS)
