Srinagar: Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF), Muhammad Yasin MalikTuesday visited SMHS Srinagar and enquired about the health condition of injured youth, Sameer Ahmad of Mattan Islamabad who was hit by a shell on his head on May 28.
The injured youth was shifted to the hospital after being hit by a shell and is currently on ventilator at the SMHS hospital.
Malik according to the statement issued to KNS, was accompanied by JKLF zonal president Noor Muhammad Kalwal and zonal press in-charge Ashraf Bin Salam.
JKLF chief met with the family of ailing Sameer and expressed solidarity with them.
He also met with the doctors attending Sameer and discussed his health condition with them.
Malik prayed for the early recovery of this young innocent victim of ‘Indian state terrorism’.
Meanwhile, JKLF chief condemned the police assault on a martyr’s family in Kaimoh Kulgam and termed it as ‘a glaring example of police terrorism’ in Kashmir.
He said that assaulting and attacking a martyr’s family shows ‘the cowardice of police and we strongly condemn this heinous criminal attack’.
Malik paid tributes to martyr Yasir Rasool Zahgeer on his martyrdom anniversary.
Recalling the sacrifices of Yasir and his family, JKLF chief said that Shaheed Yasir and his father Ghulam Rasool Zahgeer’s contribution for freedom movement has been exemplary and no one can ever forget these sacrifices.
Malik while praying for the martyr also prayed for his family.
While paying tributes to another JKLF stalwart from district Poonch Jammu, Advocate Syed Sarwar Hussein who died on June 08 2001, in an accident, JKLF vice chairman said that Sarwar was a symbol of resistance and persistence.
“He for his whole life strived for freedom of Jammu Kashmir and tolerated Jails, tortures, humiliations and other oppressive measures at the hands of India and its stooges but never compromised on his principles,” he added.
JKLF chairman said that Sarwar never budged before the tyrants and till his last breath remained steadfast with freedom movement.
