Srinagar: Mushtaq Chaya, Jammu and Kashmir’s prominent hotelier Saturday denied the reports of New Delhi based TV channels that National Investigation Agency (NIA) has raided his residence.
Chaya told KNS that he will take legal action against the news channels who are falsely reporting his house having been raided by NIA.
“Neither NIA nor any other agency has raided my residence as is being reported by TV news channels in New Delhi,” Chaya told KNS.
“These news channels have defamed and shames the profession of journalism. They are doing propaganda and defaming people on their shows and false reportage. I will take legal action against these news channels who have defamed my name,” he told KNS.
NIA on Saturday raided houses of a number of separatists and a businessman in Srinagar over alleged funding from Pakistan. (KNS)
