Srinagar: Chairman of Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF), Muhammad Yasin Malik Wednesday said that Kashmir is the only place where to please the goddess of the democracy innocents are killed with impunity.
In a statement issued to KNS, the JKLF chief who met the families of slain youth who were killed on Apr 9 of this year. “The Election Day killings by Indian trigger happy forces stand as a testimony of Indian oppression in Kashmir,” he said.
He also expressed solidarity with the families of those martyred on Apr 09 of this year.
Earlier, Malik along with JKLF Zonal President, Noor Muhammad Kalwal, JKLF Zonal organizer Bashir Ahmad Kashmiri, District President Gulzar Ahmad Pahalwan and Nazir Ahmad reached Chadoora and Chrar I Shareef in Budgam and visited the families of recently martyred Faizaan Fayaz of Dalwan, Abbas Jehangir of Delwan, Amir Manzoor of Dadiompora and Shabir Ahmad Butt of Doulat Pora Chadoora.
Terming these sacrifices as ‘most precious and sacred’, JKLF chairman said that “these kids were killed with impunity because Indian forces and their masters wanted to please the goddess of so-called Indian democracy.”
“These young Kashmiri faced the bullets of Indians and exposed the myth of Indian democracy which has been and is responsible for the oppression and tyranny in Jammu Kashmir,” he said.
Malik said that on Apr 09, people of Jammu Kashmir boycotted the elections and thus expressed unequivocally their desire and aspirations for a free Kashmir and it was because of this total boycott that Indian forces and their political masters got ‘frustrated’ and showered bullets, pellets and shells on people killing many and injuring many more.
While expressing solidarity with the bereaved families and paying tributes to the slain persons, JKLF chairman said, “The nation of Kashmir is indebted to these martyrs and we pledge to take their mission forward with passion.”
While condemning the onslaught on girl students yesterday at Lal Chowk, JKLF chairman said that “the way police and forces are behaving against young boys and girls are highly condemnable. This police behavior speaks volumes about the fact that Kashmir is actually run by police and armed forces and has been turned into a police state.”
