Educational institutions shut after fresh heavy exchange of fire at LOC

Jammu: All the educational institutions near the Line of Control (LoC) in Degwar area of Poonch district have been closed following heavy exchange of artillery between the armies of India and Pakistan.

“Mortar shelling started from across the border at around 8:45 am in Degwar, Maldiyalan and Tarwan areas along the LoC,” reports said.

Deputy Commissioner Poonch Tariq Zargar ordered the closure of all government and private schools on Wednesday in Degwar area.
