SRINAGAR, JUNE 13: Secretary, Tourism, Sarmad Hafeez visited Pahalgam and reviewed the arrangements put in place by the Tourism Department for the successful conduct of this year’s Amarnathji Yatra.

During the visit, the Tourism Secretary along with a team of officers of the Department visited Chandanwari, Pissu Top, Zajipal, Nagakoti and Sheshnag. He inspected the pace of work on various works being undertaken by the Department and directed the executing agencies to complete all works well before the deadline fixed for them.

It may be recalled that the Tourism Department is setting up shelter sheds, public conveniences, Bio toilets at a number of spots for the convenience of yatries from both Chandanwari and Baltal routes.

Director, Tourism, Kashmir, Dr. G N Itoo, Chief Executive Officer, Pahalgam Development Authority, Massarat Hashim and other officers of Tourism Department, allied Departments and District administration accompanied the Tourism Secretary during the visit.
