Jammu, Oct 10: National Conference On Sunday nominated senior party leader Advocate Rattan Lal Gupta as Provincial President Jammu till elections for the post are held on 16 Oct 2021. The announcement comes after incumbent Provincial President Jammu Devinder Singh Rana along with another leader Surjit Singh Slathia quit the party.

Earlier Dr Farooq Abdullah confirmed receiving and accepting the resignations of Rana and Salathia from the party. “No further action or comment is deemed necessary,” the party spokesman said in a tweet.

Earlier party general Secretary Ali Mohammad Sagar issued notification regarding elections for the post of Provincial Presidents for Jammu, Kashmir to be held on October 16. Senior leaders Ch M Ramzan and A M Dar have been nominated as Election officers for Kashmir province abd Sheikh Mustafa Kamal and Anil Dhar for Jammu Province
