J&K Reports 2 Covid-19 Deaths, 105 Cases

Srinagar, Sept 12: Jammu and Kashmir reported 105 covid-19 cases even as two persons succumbed to the virus in the last 24 hours, officials said on Sunday.

They said 16 of the cases were reported from Jammu Division and 89 from Kashmir Valley, taking the total count to 326904.

Also two deaths due to the virus have been reported, one each from Jammu Division and Kashmir , taking the total fatality count to 4414— 2168 in Jammu division and 2246 in Kashmir.

Providing the district-wise details, the officials said that Srinagar reported 41 cases, Baramulla 13, Budgam 6, Pulwama 0, Kupwara 3, Anantnag 5, Bandipora 6, Ganderbal 11, Kulgam 4, Shopian 0, Jammu 3, Udhampur 1, Rajouri 1, Doda 7, Kathua 0, Samba 0, Kishtwar 0, Poonch 0, Ramban 1 and Reasi 3.

A number of these cases were confirmed at diagnostic laboratory of CD hospital and include male (50) from Rainawari, female (55) from Bellow Pul, female (41) from NA, male (17) from Wazir Bagh Srg, female (30) from Ganderbal, male (23) from Bemina Srg, female (43) from Zakura, female (NA) from Sanatnagar, male (52) from Humhama, female (60) from Mirgund, male (7) from Munwarabad and female (31) from Hawal.

Moreover, they said, 119 more COVID-19 patients have recovered—19 from Jammu and 100 from Kashmir. With them, 321205 people have recovered. There are now 1285active cases in J&K—225 in Jammu and 1060 in Kashmir.

Meanwhile, there was one fresh confirmed case of mucormycosis (black fungus) reported today, they said. So far 46 black fungus cases have been confirmed in J&K, the officials added.
