Srinagar: Around 1000 J&K residents stranded in various parts of Bangalore due to lockdown are returning by train and would reach Udhampur on May 12. In-fact the special train departed from Chikkabanavara, a town in Bengaluru, at 12.30 p.m.
Rohit Kansal, government spokesman took to twitter to inform that many residents of Kashmir stranded in Jammu are heading home. “Administration committed to facilitating all,” he added.
Sources said 97 residents left for Srinagar and Ganderbal districts in special SRTC buses from Sunjwan, Bathindi and Sidhra.
