Srinagar: Concerned with the damages caused by flash floods in Nalah Feroozpora and the incessant rains causing flood like situation, National Conference leader Farooq Ahmad Shah Wednesday appealed Governor Adminstration for the assessment of damages and the subsequent compensation.

In an early morning statement, Mr. Shah said that there has been a spell of bad weather this year which caused huge damages to the crops and fruits in the Tangmarg area resulting in huge economic loss and distress to the farmers.

He said the last night’s flash floods has inaundated various areas besides damaging the standing crops. The former IAS officer said that a bridge has also been washed away at Shrai creating problems to the people.

He said he has taken up the issue with Baramulla Deputy Commissioner also .

Shah appealed Governor Adminstration to take immediate steps to address the problems.
