Srinagar: A 7th standard boy was killed in alleged action by the government forces in Langate area of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district. on Thursday night.

reports quoting locals said that the government forces fired pellets and used live ammunition on youth who allegedly clashed with them when they were returning from election duties at Mandigam village of Langate, leading to the death of the boy identified as Owais Ahmad son of Mushtaq Ahmad Mir son of Mushtaq Ahmad Mir resident of Mandigam Kralgund Qaziabad. A doctor at Handwara hospital confirmed the boy’s death due to “multiple pellet injuries”.
