Srinagar: Taking strong objection of suspension of a colleague by Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, information department employees have locked down all its divisional and district offices demanding the revocation of the suspension order.

The president J&K Information Employees Association Shabbir Ahamd told that following the retirment of a DIO, the director Information had posted a senior functionary Bashir Ahmad as I/C DIO to deal with the election process .

According to Mr Shabbir , the Deputy Commissioner Kupwara however, put him under suspension and wants some Assistant Director of Handloom department to take the assignment.

The Info employees however, decided to go for strike and demanded the immediate revocation of the suspension order.

” No press release , no advertisements would go from all the divisional offices including Delhi office till the suspension order is not rescneded.” Shabbir said.
