JAMMU: Minister for PHE, Irrigation and Flood Control Sham Lal Choudhary today convened a pubic grievance redressal camp in Suchetgarh to listen to the problems of the common masses and action taken on the decisions taken in the last public meetings.
Several deputations from village Mokha, Layian, Moli Camp Dangra, Baja Chak, Badyal Brahmana, Kheper, Bega, Gharani, Rakh Jatt, Chakrori, Baspur, Satrari, Paloura, Sher-e-chak Talar, Dablat and Katal apprised the Minister about their problems mostly pertaining to road connectivity, water supply, power supply and sanitation. They also sought disposal of pending widow pension cases, revision of BPL list and construction of houses for the homeless.
The villagers also demanded construction of electric Sub-Station, upgradation of transformers, replacement of electric poles, installation of hand pumps, blacktopping of roads, and construction of lanes and drains.
After listening to their problems, Sham Choudhary assured them that their genuine demands would be addressed in a phased manner. He asked people to extend full cooperation to executing agencies in the implementation of the development projects in their areas.

He called upon the people to take maximum benefit of the state and centrally sponsored schemes including Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, AASRA, Ladli Beti, State Marriage Assistance Scheme and other social welfare schemes.
