Ganderbal: Residents of Guzhama Wakoora area of Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district today protested against power development department (PDD) outside the EXN’s office in Ganderbal as the area is reeling under darkness. The transformer of the area had developed technical snag twenty days back.
The protesters claiming that their 100 KV transformer was damaged 20 days back and the department is yet to provide them the transformer.
“We have several times approached the PDD authorities regarding this issue but the concerned department has not repaired the transformer,” they said.
EXN PDD Ganderbal Javeed Ahmad said that the transformer of the said village was received by this workshop on 28th December, the same will be installed after repairing it within one or two days.
