Govt reconstitutes screening committee to consider promotion of IPS officers to DGP or ADGP grade

Srinagar: The government on Tuesday accorded sanction to the re-constitution of the Screening Committee headed by Chief Secretary to consider the promotion of IPS Officers to the grade of Director General of Police or Additional Director General of Police or equivalent posts.

Besides chief secretary B.V.R Subrahmanyam (IAS) as chairman, the members of the committee include Lokesh Dutt Iha (IAS), Vice Chairman/director General, J&K IMPARD, R.K. Goyal (IAS), Principal Secretary Home Department, and Dilbag Singh (IPS) Director General of Police.
