Srinagar: Special police officer (SPO) Adil Bashir who fled with seven rifles and a pistol from the residence of a PDP legislator in Jawaharnagar Srinagar has reportedly joined Hizb-ul-Mujahideen.

An unverified picture of gun totting Adil with other HM associates including Zeenatul Islam, one of the most wanted militants on the group, is doing rounds on social media platforms.

Adil fled with seven rifles and a licensed pistol of the MLA Wachi Aijaz Ahmad Mir from his residence in Srinagar.

Police has claimed to have identified one of the accomplice of Adil, who had helped him in the weapon looting.
