Kupwara: Complete shutdown is being observed in Kupwara against the killing of a youth by Army on Wednesday evening.

Bussiness establishments are closed and traffic is off the roads while locals told INS that heavy deployment of forces is in place to thwart any protest marches.

youth identified as Khalid was killed after Army opened fire in retaliation to stone pelting in trehgam area of the district.

Khalid according to locals was sitting at his shop front when some youth pelted stones on Army patrolling party. The area was shut as valley observed strike against civilian killings in south Kashmir.

The locals also claim that Khalid was ‘targeted and killed in cold blood’. He had received bullet in neck.

His blook soaked picture had gone viral on Internet.
