Tral : Fearing deterioration of law and order situation on the second death anniversary of top slain Hizbul Mujahideen commander Burhan Wani, authorities on Saturday imposed a curfew in Tral sub district of South Kashmir.
Curfew has been imposed a day before the second anniversary of Burhan Wani, which is being held tomorrow on 8th of July 2018.
Tral is the native town of Wani, who was killed in a gunfight with security forces in Bumdoora village of Kokernag area of Anantnag, two years ago in 2016.
Restrictions have also been imposed in town as all the entry and exit points leading towards Tral were sealed early in the morning to prevent public gatherings and protests.
Train services between Baramulla and Bannihal town were suspended for today. However, all exams scheduled for Saturday by the University of Kashmir are as per schedule.
Earlier JRL had called for complete shutdown in Kashmir valley and a programme in Tral on 8th of July, Sunday, to commemorate top Commander Burhan Wani.
