12 medicos repatriated to DH Poonch

POONCH, JULY 03: Deputy Commissioner Poonch Mohammad Aijaz Asad today ordered cancellation of attachment of medicos of Raja Sukhdev Singh District Hospital Poonch. Around 12 medicos of the hospital were serving on attachment basis within and outside district in contravention of instructions of government for cancellation of all attachments.

 Five of them were attached outside district including 1 at Kulgam, 1 at Kishtwar and 3 in Jammu, while remaining 7 were attached within District in various CHCs/PHCs of Medical blocks of the district.

 All 12 Medicos have been asked to join at the place of posting from where their salaries are drawn.

Meanwhile, District Treasury Officer has been directed to withhold their salaries, while Medical Superintendent District Hospital was told   to treat them on unauthorized absence   and initiate action under rules in case of non-compliance of detachment order.

 Pertinently, issue of staff shortage in District Hospital Poonch hampering effective delivery of patient care services was being repeatedly raised by the local people.
