The house belongs to Kifayat Mir, whose “confessional video” of “informing army” about militants went viral in the month of April this year. Six militants were killed by Army during an ambush at Pahnoo village of Shopian on April 15.

Mir was fired upon by militants in his foot, and according to local sources, his family had left the place soon after the incident.

“There house was stoned several times as well, but today  unknown persons came and set two shops of Mir ablaze and also damaged their residential house,” locals claimed.
