Srinaga: A lady died while two other girls were injured in separate road accidents in Awantipora and Anantnag, Police said on Thursday.

According to police statement in Awantipora, a Santro car bearing registration number JK01M-2671 driven by Nissar Ahmad Mir resident of Kadlabal Pampore hit and injured a pedestrian lady namely Mst Raja Begum, about 50 years old wife of Ghulam Mohidin Wani resident of Chursoo Awantipora at Chursoo Awantipora. She was shifted to SMHS Srinagar for treatment where from she was shifted to SKIMS Soura, Srinagar for further treatment where she succumbed to her injures.

“In Anantnag, a Wagon- R car bearing registration number JK03E-3810 skidded off from the road near Bragam in the jurisdiction of Police Station Dooru, resulting in injuries to two school girls namely Munaza Gul (Age about 18 years) D/O Gul Mohammad Wani and Uzma Jan (Age about 18 years) D/O Mohammad Yaseen Sheikh residents of Vio Bimdoora. Both the injured were shifted to SDH Dooru for treatment,” said police.
