Patwaris have been demanding removal of pay anomalies, promotion of Girdawars to Naib Tehsildar, stoppage of direct recruitment as Naib Tehsildar, renovation and construction of Patwarkhana, creation of new Patwar Halqas and their inclusion into technical grade.

All Jammu and Kashmir Patwari Association members organised a protest in the premises of ADC office Bhaderwah.

Mohd Ashraf, a patwari said that few of the Patwaris  who were recruited some years ago and are juniors ‘but, they are being paid more than their seniors.’

“We want this dual policy to end. Hundreds of Patwaris across Jammu and Kashmir are suffering due to this pay anomaly,” they said.
