Srinagar, June 16: In a major administrative arrangement for the smooth conduct of the upcoming Shri Amarnath Yatra-2026, the Jammu and Kashmir Government has deputed 63 officers from various departments to serve as Camp Directors and Additional Camp Directors along the pilgrimage route.
According to Government Order No. 1080-JK(GAD) of 2026 dated June 15, issued by the General Administration Department, the officers have been placed at the disposal of the Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board on a short-term basis to oversee the management of various camps en route to the holy cave shrine.
The order was issued by Commissioner/Secretary to the Government, M. Raju (IAS).
Among the senior officers deployed are Jagdish Singh, Additional Deputy Commissioner Samba; Virender Kumar Manyal, Chief Executive Officer, Patnitop Development Authority; Chander Parkash, Additional Secretary, Jal Shakti Department; Atul Kumar, Additional Secretary, Disaster Management, Relief, Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Department; Vikas Dhar Bagati, Additional Secretary, Tourism Department; and Vikas Anand, Joint Registrar Cooperatives (Audit), Jammu.
Other officers assigned key responsibilities include Gurdev Kumar, Akhil Sadotra, Vikas Sharma, Vishal Singh Parihar, Manoj Kumar, Om Parkash, Chander Kant Bhagat, Sanjeev Kumar, Kewal Krishan Sharma, Anil Kumar, Ranjeet Singh, Pulkit Dutta, Sahil Bhagotra, Ram Paul, Mohinder Paul, Sumit Suri, Sahil Mahajan, Jatinder Pal Singh, Sandeep Singh, Santosh Kumar, Pardeep Kumar Shan and Uttam Singh Palsar.
The list further includes Ravi Kumar, Sahil Verma, Himat Kumar Raina, Mukesh Kumar, Rohit Kumar, Kumar Gokul, Daleep Kumar, Sumeet Singh, Vishal Targotra, Raj Singh, Rakesh Kumar, Vishal Angurana, Shailender Kumar, Sunil Kumar, Manish Sudan, Sahil Abrol, Sachin Abrol, Dheeraj Vishavnathbhim Bahadur, Mohit Sharma, Sandesh Kumar, Vishal Kumar, Bhushan Kumar Singh, Hitesh Kumar Loona, Akhil Bhau, Dinesh Singh, Kunal Singh, Tarun Sudan, Suryavanshi Manish Bhagat, Ujwal Singh Sambyal, Kashish Sharma, Vishal Pathak, Viplove Sudan, Ayush Sharma, Anup Kumar and Aju Kundal.
The government has directed all controlling officers to relieve the deputed officials so that they can report to the Chief Executive Officer of the Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board on dates to be communicated separately. The Shrine Board will decide the exact deployment of each officer at different camps.
The order further states that the deputed officers will continue to draw their salaries from their parent departments during the period of deputation and shall return to their original postings immediately after the conclusion of Shri Amarnath Yatra-2026.
The annual Shri Amarnath Yatra is one of the country’s most significant pilgrimages, attracting lakhs of devotees from across India. The latest administrative deployment is aimed at ensuring efficient management, coordination and the safety of pilgrims during the Yatra.
