Srinagar, Oct 7: The government on Tuesday ordered the reconstitution of the Selection Committee responsible for recommending appointments to the posts of Chairperson and Members of the Jammu and Kashmir Commission for Protection of Child Rights.

As per Government Order issued by GAD-JK under the directions of Lieutenant Governer reads, the committee will include the Hon’ble Minister of Social Welfare Department as Chairperson, and the Administrative Secretary of Social Welfare Department and Secretary of the Department of Law, Justice & Parliamentary Affairs as members.

The committee has been tasked to prepare a select list and submit recommendations for appointment of the Chairperson and Members of the Commission, ensuring compliance with the Jammu and Kashmir Child Rights Commission Rules, 2022. It will also prepare a waitlist of two candidates for each post, valid for three months.
