Karnah, Sept 27: Three BJP MLAs of the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly on Saturday paid obeisance at the Sharda Temple near the Line of Control (LoC) in Teetwal, Karnah.
The legislators—Daleep Singh of Bhadarwah, Sunil Bhardwaj of Ramnagar (SC) and Ranbir Singh Pathania of Udhampur East—were received by members of the Save Sharda Committee Kashmir. The three are BJP legislators from the respective Assembly constituencies.
During the visit, the legislators stressed the need for reopening the Sharda Peeth route in Pakistan-administered Kashmir (PoK).
They also lauded the efforts of the Save Sharda Committee Kashmir for its interfaith initiatives.
The Sharda Temple at Teetwal, located near the LoC in Karnah, has been a site for religious and cultural activities associated with the Sharda Peeth tradition.
