Srinagar, July 3: Two boys drowned while bathing in Dachigam Nalla in Harwan on the outskirts of Srinagar on Friday.

Officials said that both were rescued by police and locals who rushed to the spot. One of the boys, reportedly a Class 11 student from Srinagar, was shifted to hospital in critical condition.

Officials said timely intervention by locals and police averted a major tragedy. The condition of the hospitalized boy is being monitored.

Police have taken cognizance of the incident. More details awaited.(GNS)
