Kupwara, July 01: A six-year-old girl was killed after being hit by a dumper in the Vodhpora area of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Wednesday, officials said.

An official said that the accident occurred when a dumper bearing registration number JK02CR-6027 hit the six-year-old girl, who sustained critical injuries and died on the spot.

The deceased was identified as Habsa Ishaq (6) daughter of Mohammad Ishaq Sheikh, a resident of Khuramabad, Vodhpora, Kupwara.

Police have taken cognisance of the incident and launched an investigation. (KNO)
