According to an official announcement issued by the Chief Minister’s Office, the approved projects are aimed at strengthening community infrastructure and improving facilities available to migrant families.

The sanctioned works include the construction of a multipurpose community hall equipped with a library and dedicated space for Self-Help Groups (SHGs) at the Migrant Camp in Muthi, one of the largest settlements housing displaced Kashmiri migrant families.

In addition, the government has approved the construction of a new office building for the Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner (Migrants), Jammu.

The projects are intended to enhance public facilities and strengthen institutional infrastructure catering to the needs of the migrant community.

Officials said the community hall is expected to serve as a venue for social, educational and cultural activities while also providing space for livelihood-related initiatives undertaken by Self-Help Groups.

The new office building for the Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner is expected to improve administrative functioning and delivery of services related to relief, rehabilitation and welfare schemes for migrant families.
