The protest demonstration was held in Srinagar, where BJP workers raised slogans against the liquor trade and urged the administration to respect the sentiments of the people. The protesters said the open sale of alcohol was hurting the social and cultural fabric of Kashmir.

Police personnel intervened during the protest and detained several BJP workers in an attempt to disperse the gathering and maintain law and order.

Party leaders stated that they would continue their campaign against liquor sales and press for stricter measures to curb the spread of alcohol in the region. Officials, however, said the situation remained under control.
