Officials said that multiple police teams carried out searches at the residences of alleged drug kingpins as part of an intensified crackdown on narcotics.

The operations were conducted with the assistance of police K9 units to detect concealed contraband, officials said.

Meanwhile, authorities have also begun surveying properties suspected to have been acquired through illicit means, with plans underway to initiate attachment proceedings under provisions of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. (KNO)
