Srinagar, Apr 08: Traffic movement on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway (NH-44) came to a halt on Wednesday after a massive landslide hit Sherbibi area of chamalwas Banihal.

Highway is currently blocked, with a large amount of shooting stones covering the road traffic official confirmed that clearance operations are in full swing, with teams and machinery deployed to restore connectivity at the earliest.

Meanwhile, the authorities have urged commuters to avoid travel on the highway for now and strictly adhere to traffic advisories.

Meanwhile, passengers are advised to check updates before planning their journey. “Efforts are ongoing, and the highway is expected to be reopened once the road is cleared and deemed safe for movement.”
