Speaking to reporters after Assembly proceedings, the Chief Minister said adequate stocks of LPG, petrol, diesel and kerosene are available across the Union Territory.

He said that the government is closely monitoring the situation to ensure uninterrupted supply.

“There is no shortage of anything, be it LPG, petrol, diesel, or kerosene. People should not panic,” he said, terming reports of scarcity as baseless.

He said the government has been assured by the Government of India that supplies remain intact, with no cause for concern.

Referring to past crisis management, he said the administration is prepared to handle any situation, drawing parallels with the collective response during the COVID-19 pandemic. “The way we fought during COVID, we will tackle such situations in the same spirit,” he said.

He also appealed to the public to rely only on official information and avoid panic buying.
