The ruckus began after National Conference (NC) legislators raised slogans against the US-Israel war on Iran and waved posters of former Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei inside the House.

BJP members, strongly objected to the display of posters and countered with slogans, triggering a heated exchange between the two sides.

Amid the uproar, Congress MLA Irfan Hafeez Lone and BJP legislator Yudhvir Sethi were seen in a verbal confrontation that nearly escalated into a physical altercation before other members intervened.

As the situation turned disorderly, the Speaker adjourned the proceedings for 30 minutes. (KNO)
