The remarks came after the senior National Conference leader was targeted in an attack, though he remained safe.

The incident has raised concerns about the security of political leaders in Jammu and Kashmir, with calls for a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding the attack.

Taking to social media, Mehbooba Mufti said she was relieved to know that Farooq Abdullah was safe and doing well after the incident.

“Shocked to hear about the grave attack on Dr Farooq Abdullah sahab. Relieved to know that he’s safe and doing well,” Mufti said.

She urged the police to conduct a thorough probe into the matter. “Hope police gets to the bottom of this very perturbing security lapse,” she added.
