Kulgam, Jan 30: A massive fire broke out in the Dragdan village of DH Pora area of south Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Friday, gutting two residential houses and causing significant property damage.

Officials said that the fire incident occurred in Dragdan village, which falls under Kulgam district jurisdiction, where a residential house belonging to Gulzar Ahmad Malik and Mohammad Yousuf Dar was engulfed by fire.

Fire and Emergency Services rushed to the spot and brought the blaze under control after hectic efforts.

No loss of life was reported in the incident; however, household goods were damaged. The cause of the fire was not immediately known.

Meanwhile, authorities have taken cognizance of the incident. (KNC)
